=/\= Ship Awards Cont. =/\= USS Victory: Most Posts - ChEng Wayland 8 Best Story http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/victory-a/message/1185 - Telpherion This post is one of several submitted by Shayne Patrick recently -- fast on his way to many more awards!! Best CD http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/victory-a/message/1176 -Malkay Genesis - http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/USSLacuna/message/570 - Brazeau Rookie of the Month Lieutenant Paul Malkay Everyone loves the operations department, and none more than our own Chris Milroy, whose posts are always solid, engaging, straightforward, and to the point. Chris' development of his character, Paul Malkay, has been consistently engaging and interesting -- along the same lines as his RoM predecessor of the month before last, Jeremy Boatman. Here's to the future Chris! Keep up the good work! Most improved character Ensign Aly Artemi A strong showing last month from Caitlin Allope Isaaisa Cheyenne Whitefeather (Hightower Clan), whose posts have really begun to shape up. This is not only in the area of format (headers and footers) but also in regards to the posts themselves -- Commander Romany Isaaisa has become an interesting peripheral character that I see moving to the forefront in short order -- assuming we don't lose the character to her previous, admittedly needy duty station, the starship Missouri . . . MVP Warrant Officer Wayland Our Chief Engineering Officer's player, Robert Brazeau, is once more a force to reckon with, driving the direction of the sim more often than not, simply by posting as much as, and often more than the game moderator. His eight posts spanning the end of "Gamma Torqueo" and establishing the opening of "Gamma Terminus" were expansive and vector-driven. The latter of the two aforementioned posts also marks the first time in the two-year history of the sim that someone besides the commanding officer has been called upon to post the beginning of a new mission. Kudos, Bob! Starbase 001: Most Posts: Reiziger (These are the winners of the Fleet Wide awards, a copy of the post has been linked form this page) Best Character Development Post-- Lt Orio, post 445- USS Avalon-C http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Avalon3002C/message/360

Lt. Rain Lexington, Post # 769, ¡¥Rain 1, Cat 0¡¦ Most Valuable Player-- Cmdr Ingoldo- USS Excalibur Award Citation: This award goes to Cmdr. Ingoldo. I have given him this award many times before because he has been here for me. This award isn't for his writing, this award isn't for his leadership. This award is for his loyalty to this ship and its crew and Captain. Cmdr. Ingoldo has stuck with this ship when we only had 25 post and sliding. Cmdr. Ingoldo has listened to me say I quit... I cant go on anymore. I cant get new people I cant... I cant, and he would calmly say to me. Captain... Alayne ... its ok. We can start over you are doing a great job. Things will pick up. Number One you are the MVP! Thanks for sticking with the Excalibur. Most Improved Player-- Ensign Aly Artemi- USS Victory Award Citation: A strong showing last month from Caitlin Allope Isaaisa Cheyenne Whitefeather (Hightower Clan), whose posts have really begun to shape up. I was fortunate enough to catch Admiral Jeremiah Griffith, Director of Fleet Personnel and Relations, for this month's interview.
I got involved in simming about 10 years ago, I was recruited by an AOL member using the AOL member directory to a chat based Simm. I served there for a great deal of time, and served on other smaller ships before IDF was created, however in September of 2001, I was approached by a fellow simmer, Captain Thomas Dupont about joining the USS Patriot in IDF. I of course accepted and became the XO of the Patriot. Since then I have served here and only here.
Well, my free time? What is that? I spend all of my
time working around the house and working on the fleet. Occasionally
sleeping and occasionally taking breaks to eat. :P
My simming career has been a very long and
illustrious one, I have infect CO'ed several ships. My first Command was the
USS Avalon-A. From there I have launched/commanded EVERY Avalon since. I
have also served as CO of the USS Liberty, and Starbase 10. I have also
served as a Fleet Captain, and Division Director. (Fleet Captains were what
we used to call Deputy DD's.)
In IDF? I dont know that I have any "role models"
but I have a great many individuals that I am friends with, and admire. In
real life, yes I have several role models, my Grandfather who passed in
November of last year being the greatest role model however.
My favorite Star Trek Character would have to be
either Spock or Data. Although there are some very interesting characters
out there!
I would LOVE to sit down with Leonard Nimoy and
simply talk, nothing in particular, but to just have a conversation with
him. Brent Spiner the same way, they are both just so intelligent and well
versed that it would simply be enjoyable to sit around and talk about
ANYTHING.
The secret to fleet longevity is simple,
communication. If you communicate with everyone, and ensure a happy simming
experience, the fleet will succeed. You have to remember that when you are
in my position I have over 200 members that I am charged with creating,
maintaining and moderating the "comfort zone" for in the sense of
maintaining an enjoyable fleet!
Yes I very much so enjoy my current position, it
allows me to interact with every other fleet member and ensure the happiness
of all involved in IDF.
It can be stressful, sometimes. But the benefits of
my position far outweigh that stress! The friendships I have made and kept
over the years, far outweigh any of the bad!
I chat with friends, I practice Martial Arts, and I work around the house!
My favorite book, Shakespeare, the entire compilation. Although there are MANY books that I enjoy, I truly love Shakespearean era writing.
Notting Hill!
I wouldn't want to. I would rather simply slip off in the presence of friends and loved ones. If I am going to die, I dont need to eat to prepare! He will sustain me.
I have been told a LOT of things that I consider wise- But one of the most influential things I have ever heard is- We can do no great things, only small things with great love. (Mother Theresa)
Darth Vader hands down.
I would like to add that I am very thankful to the members of this great fleet for allowing me to have so much fun the last 4 years, and for allowing me the chance to be a part of this great organization. There is no better gift than the gift of friendship that so many of you have given to me. Thank you, and keep enjoying the game!
